Tasos (Tasio) Liberakis studied advertising at Marquette University in the USA (B.A. in Communication, Journalism, and Performing Arts, 1989) and Mathematics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He specialized in visual communication (D.E.A. in Sociology of Communication and Information, 1991) at University of Paris 7 (Jussieu) . Since 2000, he has taught at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) and the Hellenic Open University (HOU) at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.He has worked in theater (lighting technician, actor), audiovisual production (casting, directing, screenwriting, producing), and continues to work in the creation of digital media and art (screenwriting, directing, interactive design). His works have been presented in numerous exhibitions and festivals. He is the author of “Digital Captives: Itineraries of the Gaze,”as well as texts for HOU on topics such as Semiotics of the Image, Digital Color, and Audiovisual Creation. He also wrote the collection of narratives “The Uninterruptible Thread.” His academic expertise lies in Digital Audiovisual Media and Content Creation.
