New PADA Protocol for Isolation of COVID-19 Cases and Quarantine of Close Contacts of a Confirmed Case of COVID-19 A. Persons with Confirmed Sars-Cov-2 Infection – Isolation: • Stay in isolation for ten (10) days and avoid contact with other people. • The day of symptoms and/or receiving the positive test is considered as day 0, followed by 10 days of isolation. • The end of the isolation is after the 10th day if the symptoms have subsided and the fever has subsided completely for a full 24 hours without the use of antipyretics. B. Persons who came into contact with a confirmed case – Quarantine: B.1 For persons vaccinated and with a booster dose or persons vaccinated with 2 doses in the last 6 months or with one dose of the J&J vaccine in the last 2 months: • Not quarantined , but they DO make strict use of a high respiratory protection mask (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) or a double mask for ten (10) days. • Performing a laboratory test (PCR or Rapid Antigen Test) on the 5th day after exposure. • If at any time within the 10 days they develop symptoms and/or the test(s) is positive, the individuals become a case (case A). B.2 For persons vaccinated with 2 doses over 6 months without a booster dose or with one dose of the J&J vaccine over 2 months without a booster dose or unvaccinated: • Stay at home for ten (10) days after exposure and avoid contact with other people. • On the 5th day a laboratory test (PCR or Rapid Antigen Test). • If the laboratory test is negative, the quarantine ends, but at least for the next five (5) days there is a strict use of a high respiratory protection mask (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) or a double mask. • If at any time within the 10 days symptoms appear and/or the test(s) comes out positive, the individuals become a case (case A).
