Panos Vardopoulos was a lecturer at the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts of the School of Applied Arts and Culture of the University of West Attica.
Born in Athens in 1956. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Athens.
He has been involved in artistic applications in photography since 1986 and in electronic digital images (video – PC) since 1990.
Since 1986, he has had solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions, many of which are of a national or international nature, often with national representation. The exhibitions are accompanied by distinctions, distinctions and awards for his works, as well as favorable reviews, presentations and references in texts, volumes and academic papers. He has published in authoritative publications, monographs, magazines, catalogs and on the internet. He has exhibited, among others, at the Athens Photography Month, the Thessaloniki Photo Festival, the Biennial of Young Artists of the European Mediterranean Countries, the Lisbon World Fair, Mediaterra, the DESTE Foundation, the Skopelos Photographic Center, the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, the Benaki Museum and in galleries and institutions in England, Italy, the USA, Canada, Peru, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany.
He taught the courses “Photographic Applications”, “Theory and Technique of Digital Photography”, “Electronic Processing of Photographic Images” and “Digital Photography” in the Department of Photography & Audiovisual Studies in the programs of the TEI/A and the courses “Composite Digital Photographic Image” and “Digital Photographic Processing” in the new university program.
