Born in Athens Greece. 

He studied Photography at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco where he was awarded the Bachelor of Fine Arts title in 1990. He continued his studies at San Francisco State University and in 1992 was awarded the title of Masters of Arts in Photojournalism with a minor in Gerontology. He also holds a Diploma in Photography from the Lykourgos Stavrakos Film School. His studies include two years (1983-85) at the Piraeus University of Industrial Sciences (later Piraeus University). 

Since 1993 she has been working as a photojournalist. In 1991 he became a member of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA USA), and in 1997 he worked with the Associated Press in Athens. In 2001 he became a member of the Union of Press Photographers of Greece and collaborated with several Greek and international publications. 

Since 2005 he has been involved in producing corporate videos and documentaries. He has participated as a director, director of photography and editor in numerous video productions. 

From 1996 to 2017 he worked continuously as a Laboratory Associate in the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts of the Athens Technological Institute, teaching Photography, Photo-Essay, Photojournalism and video.  

In 2017 he joined the faculty of the University of West Attica in the department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts of the School of Applied Arts and Culture and holds the position of Lecturer in the field of “Photojournalism and Video”. Currently, he teaches the classes of Video I Theory and Technique, Video III Theory and Technique and Corporate and Music Video Production. 

He has participated in group exhibitions in Greece and abroad and references to his artistic work are found in books both at home and abroad. 

He has been awarded the Award of Excellence (Spot News) on the 46th College Photographer Of The Year, 1990 Competition. 

He has also won the first prize in the category “Sports Photography” at the “Golden Gater” newspaper. 

He is a principle founding member of the “Design, Interior Architecture and Audiovisual Documentation” Research Laboratory of the Faculty of Applied Arts and Culture in the University of West Attica. 

His research interests include the recording and mapping of cultural heritage monuments with the assistance and use of unmanned aircrafts (UAVs) and other alternative camera systems.
