He was born in Tinos Island Greece in 1960. He studied at the Northern Illinois University School of Fine Arts in the United States, where he earned degrees in Fine Arts, Art History and Political Science. He holds a PhD in Techniques and Management of Applied Arts.

He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts of the School of Applied Arts and Culture of the University of West Attica as well as Head of Cooperation and Exchange at the University with Universities of the People’s Republic of China.

He has been a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece since 1985, Chairman of the Board. of the Hellenic Photographic Society from 2005 to 2011 and Chairman of the Board of the International Photography Festival Federation (IPFF) from 2009 to 2011 based in Pingyao, China. .

He has held more than thirty solo photography exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has participated in dozens of group exhibitions abroad as part of international exchanges and festivals.

His works are in museum collections in Greece and abroad.

More than thirty  books and albums have been published, he has participated in dozens international conferences and has written numerous articles in Art and Scientific journals.
